Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!!

Last night Corban slept... well, more importantly, I SLEPT for 6 hours all in one chunk! It was so exciting that when I woke up at 5am I was giddy with excitement :)

Anyway, it has been a good weekend with my hubby and my little boy. I have a ton to get done at work this week but I was able to relax and not think about it too much. Micah and I went downtown to the Farmers Market and in the park that is right there, they were having a Hawaiian festival or something... it was really cool, and very crowded. We found a new restaurant that we like (Tommy O's), we went to church, I got a haircut (nothing really drastic, but I do have bangs that just might drive me crazy before the day is over!), we got some stuff done around the house and now we are enjoying an episode of Extreme Home Makeover (unfortunately, it's a re-run).

Oh, that reminds me. Have you seen the new Japanese-related TV shows on Tuesday night? "Wipeout" is hilarious and "I survived a Japanese game show" cracks me up :)

Hai Majide!

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Oh, sorry that was me trying to fix the "k" key on Micah's laptop... it just comes off sometimes. Kinda annoying.

Good night all!

survival of the fittest

It's Friday! Hip hip hooray!

I made it through my first week back at work and I have to say that it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was a long and tiring week and I have a TON of work to do both at my job for FBS and as a wife and as a mom... but it didn't kill me. And if it didn't kill me I guess that means I'm stronger :)

Now for what you really come to my blog for: Ptuecirs (can you read that?)

Feed me and nobody gets hurt...

Yeah, I think I'm a little too small for this thing - but I think it will be fun when I'm bigger :)

mmm... vibrating chair...

I'm sitting up like a big boy - well, sort of.

I have no idea what I'm saluting, but it was pretty intense!

Grandma and I were playing...

I am sleeping, SO adorable, if I do say so myself!

Our dog, Lua... who won't hold still for a picture! LOL

Lua, Micah and Corban all resting.
(Micah was trying to lay in the same position as Corban!)

I hope this has satiated your need for pictures :)

Job Row

So, not unlike someone on death row, I am attempting to savor every minute that I have before I go back to work. Now, I realize that having a job is not the same as being fried in an electric chair (for one thing, it lasts a lot longer :) but it will significantly cut down on the time that I have to do the other things that I want to do. Obviously I am being a bit dramatic - I am thankful for my job and the opportunity that it provides for me to be home with our son. I cannot imagine what it would be like if I was going to have to leave him with someone else everyday!

I am re-assessing what ministries I can be involved in, what are my priorities? etc. Only so much stuff will fit into these 24 hour days (work, sleep, feeding Corban, feeding me, other necessary stuff).

Anyway, this last week has been pretty good. I was able to accomplish a few things - the big one was painting the wall in our dining room. It is now a nice chocolate color - and the downside is that it makes me want chocolate everytime I look at it :) I love it. I think it looks great.

I would also like to take this moment to say: I am so thankful for the time off that I have had - I can't imagine having any less time to learn how to do this mom thing and for enjoying Corban with Micah. It has been a huge blessing. Anyone out there that has maternity leave coming to them - don't take less than 6 weeks, it really should be a minimum. It has flown by so fast!

Also, Micah has been such a blessing during all of this - he is watching Corban right now so that I can do a little "connecting" via the internet. He has taken on the role of papa very easily and seems a natural. His love for me and his son are evident and that makes me so happy. We are so blessed. That is all I have to share for the moment.

If you can believe it...

Corban is almost 5 weeks old.
He has rolled over on his own 6 times.
My maternity leave is almost over.
It is overcast today (LOL).
Lua is thankful for the fireworks to be done.
I plan to do a little painting this week.

With my job starting back up in a little over a week it feels like summer is over... even though it just began! I'm trying not to be down about needing to go back to work - but 6 weeks has gone by SO fast and I cannot believe how little I was able to accomplish during that time. (Everyone warned me of this, but I chose not to believe them and made real effort to accomplish some stuff in my time "off").

Do any of you have ideas on things I should do in my last week of relative freedom?
